Renaissance Learning Inc., which makes curriculum and academic assessment products, said Friday that it has appointed Glenn R. James as CEO.
James, who was most recently a principal with Technology Consulting Corp., replaces co-founder Terrance Paul, who will become chairman of the board. The current board chairman, Judith Paul, will become vice chairman.
James' appointment takes effect Tuesday. He has also served as an executive at Unisys Corp. and a consultant at Deloitte Consulting.
Shares of Renaissance Learning fell 9 cents to $14.78 in afternoon trading.
